So as usual, I failed to keep up with a blogging project – this time, it was 30 days of life experiences. Oh well. I spend too much time developing my Driveline Baseball-related sites and worrying about their content, plus I probably have at most 8 readers of this blog and the various feeds it goes into (Facebook, Livejournal, Google Reader, etc). I highly doubt I disappointed too many people, if any.

At any rate, here’s what’s new in my life:

  • Started a fairly serious training routine, beginning with Starting Strength. Maxed out linear progress for awhile, then found a powerlifting coach – been with him for about 3 weeks. My current known 1RMs are: Back Squat – 435 lbs, and Deadlift – 500 lbs. My bodyweight has dropped slightly to 250 lbs, though significant body recomposition has occurred. I’ve lost 2-3 inches in my waist and my chest, shoulders, and legs have all grown significantly. My bench press is pathetic – I estimate my 1RM to be around 230 lbs (possibly a tad higher).
  • Have begun coaching a few more baseball athletes in my garage facility. I even have a massage table there for corrective exercises and measurements.
  • Have seriously considered going back to school in January-February, if I can find the money to do so. I’d like to study Health and Human Performance at a distance learning school to finish my undergraduate degree, and then maybe start postgraduate study for Exercise Science.

I’m still employed at All Star Directories. I like it there and hope to secure a full-time offer. We’ll see if that’s in the cards. I have some other opportunities that I can explore if it doesn’t work out here, but I enjoy working downtown during the day rather than Redmond at night (Microsoft).
